Week of September 19

Jack Barry '14 (Lancaster, Pa.) JV Football
Jack scored a touchdown and had an interception in last week’s JV game against Hun. He also gave a superb effort against the varsity team for the rest of the week as the free safety on the scout team.

Erin Dempsey '14 (Collegeville, Pa.) JV Girls’ Water Polo
While playing hurt, Erin gave a great performance in the goal for the water polo team, which included stopping a five-meter penalty shot.

Caitlin Hering'13 (Watchung, N.J.) JV Field Hockey
New to the sport, Caitlin filled the void missing in the cage and offered to suit up to be the goalie. She has shown herself to have a natural understanding of the position and is fearless in the cage. She has shown grit and determination to improve.

Courtney Mauk '14 (Wilmington, Del.) Varsity Girls’ Tennis
Courtney won the deciding match 6-0 in the third set to clinch the match against Episcopal Academy, even though she was in incredible pain from shin splints. Her mental toughness has been amazing.

Connor Rayfield '15 (Duxbury, Mass.) 3rds Boys’ Soccer
Connor brings effort and enthusiasm and works to improve both his own play and his teammates' play on a daily basis. He played stopper, a new position for him, in the first game and he helped anchor the defense in a 3-2 victory over Germantown Academy.

Ted Wolter '12 (Pottstown, Pa.) Varsity Boys’ Soccer
Ted made four saves to preserve 1-0 shutout over Germantown Academy, giving The Hill its first back-to-back wins against GA since the early 1990s, then made a season-high eight saves against Malvern to keep Hill in the game before falling 0-2.
