Faculty help football team members remove snow from Dell Field
After an unseasonable snow storm covered much of the Northeast on Saturday, October 29 and forced all of Hill's athletics contests against MAPL foe Blair Academy to be postponed, parents and faculty joined players on the varsity football team in shoveling snow from the Dell Field on Sunday, October 30 in order to prepare it for the rescheduled game.
The football game was rescheduled for Monday, October 31. Late Sunday morning, Director of Athletics Seth Eilberg sent an e-mail to the Hill community urging students and faculty to help team members remove snow from their respective playing fields to allow the fields as much time to dry as possible and be properly prepared before each game. Several faculty members and parents happily obliged, and the football team had Dell Field cleared in a matter of hours.
Several members of the varsity boys' soccer team also removed snow from their practice field at the far fields to allow it time to dry before their make-up match against Blair on Wednesday, November 2.
