Varsity boys' and girls' soccer teams advance to PAISAA Finals
Payback was sweet for both the varsity boys' and girls' soccer teams in their respective semi-final matches of the PAISAA Tournament on Tuesday, November 8.  Both teams' opponents - Malvern for the boys' and Germantown Academy for the girls' - had defeated Hill in early-season matches this year.  Tuesday, both the boys' and girls' traveled to their opponent's venues for their matches and returned home victorious; the boys' won 3-2, and the girls' won a penalty kick shootout 4-3 after regulation play and overtime ended in a 2-2 tie.  With the victories, the boys' improved to 15-3-1, and the girls' to 16-2-1.

Marc Hagemeier '81 attended the girls' match and wrote a great recap of the match that apperead in the Wednesday, November 9 edition of The Pottstown Mercury.  Marc's article as well as a recap of the boys' match can be found here.

The PAISAA Championship matches are Thursday, October 10 at 3 p.m. at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown.  The boys' match is against Haverford School on stadium field 1 (closest to the building), and the girls' match is against Episcopal Academy on field 2.  The championship matches are another chance for both teams to avenge early-season losses, as the boys' lost at Haverford on September 10, and the girls' lost at Episcopal on September 24.
