Week of October 31-November 6

Kara Beckman '13 (Glenmoore, Pa.) Varsity Girls’ Water Polo
Kara had a great day at Eastern Preps on Saturday. She played solid defense all day, and led the team in scoring with 3 goals in the game against Friends Central. She has worked hard to become a very important part of the rotation.

Quinn Davis '12 (Pottstown, Pa.) Varsity Boys’ Cross Country
Quinn had an incredibly dominating performance in winning the MAPL championship in 15:55. Not only did he run one of the fastest times in MAPL history (only 5 runners in 14 years have broken 16:00 minutes), but he did it running all by himself, with no direct competition.

Kate Ferrara '12 (Spring City, Pa.) Varsity Field Hockey
Kate has been the anchor in the middle of the field all season. Her skills, knowledge, perseverance and competitive edge have helped the team stay alive in many games. Her determination to win has given Hill spunk in the last few weeks of the season, after being in a slight slump. She played a phenomenal game against GA in the PAISAA quarterfinals and she sealed the deal against Hun when she took the ball, weaving in and out of defenders, finding the cage for another goal.

Colten Habecker '14 (Douglassville, Pa.) Varsity Boys’ Soccer
Colten has helped the Boys’ Varsity Soccer team advance to the PAISAA Semifinals and also be in contention for the MAPL title. Colten has had 4 goals and 3 assists to help the Rams win their last three games.

Chrissy Meder '15 (Collegeville, Pa.) JV Field Hockey
Chrissy has been a player that the team can consistently count on each week both in games and practice. Throughout the season she’s been a solid anchor on the forward line. She applies what she learns in practice to the games. As she has improved over the season she has become a strong leader on the field, always communicating with her teammates and giving 100% every day!

Lizzie Sullivan '12 (Elverson, Pa.) Varsity Girls’ Soccer
Captain Lizzie Sullivan scored 6 goals in the past 3 games to keep the squad on the winning path. She scored three goals against Baldwin, one against Hun and thereby keeping Hill in the hunt for its second MAPL Championship, and finally two in the PAISAA Quarterfinals game against Germantown Friends to propel Hill into the semifinal game this Tuesday.

Richard Thomas '12 (Long Beach, Calif.) Varsity Boys’ Water Polo
Richard Thomas helped the Water Polo team advance into the finals at Easterns over the weekend. He led Hill in scoring with 15 goals in 3 games.

Grant Weekley '12 (Collegeville, Pa.) JV Boys’ Cross Country
Grant has shown perseverance and a great attitude this season. He has improved steadily over his four years and ran his fastest 5k race at the MAPL Championships (20:40).
