On November 10, 2011, 79 Hill students took the second Pennsylvania Math Contest of the year. The 30-minute contest contained six questions, each worth one point. The topics included geometry, algebra, trigonometry, logarithms, series, exponents, roots, integers, real numbers, combinations, probability, and coordinates. Ji Park ‘12 scored a six, making her Hill’s current top scorer with a cumulative 12 points. Taehoon Lee ’13 and Poom Khunsriraksakul ’12 also earned sixes on this contest, while Yohan Bae ’12, Gia He ’14, Jack Liu ’13, Seung Jae Paik ’13, Ted Poatsy ’13, Sifan Wang ’13, and Elaine Wen ’13 each earned five. There are four more contests throughout the year, with the next one being Monday, December 12.
