||It has been a memorable two months of soccer for Euan Forrest ’19.
In early November, he scored a goal and added an assist to help lead The Hill to a 4-2 victory over rival Lawrenceville, capping a perfect 5-0 record in MAPL play and clinching an outright league title for Hill. Eleven days later, just hours before Hill was to play in the Pennsylvania Independent School State Championship Match for the sixth time in seven years, Forrest received a Likely Letter to attend and play soccer at Lehigh University where his brother, Mark, recently concluded an outstanding soccer career.
As the calendar turned to December, Forrest traveled south to Winter Park, Fla. to play in the U.S. High School Boys’ All-American Match, where his acclaimed play earned him a spot on the match’s Best XI squad. On December 26, Forrest learned that he is a finalist for the Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania.
And, when the Pottstown Mercury published its All-Area Boys’ Soccer Teams on December 28, Forrest was named the Area Player of the Year.
Forrest becomes the program’s fifth Area Player of the Year since 2012, joining Wyatt Fabian ’14 (2012), Colten Habecker ’14 (2013), his brother Mark ’15 (2014), and Toni Adewole ’17 (2016).

Joining Forrest on the All-Area teams are Zach Barrett ’20 (first team); Sam Beckett ’22 and Aidan Sullivan ’19 (second team); and Chance Antonio (honorable mention). Head coach Chris Drowne '89 was named Coach of the Year for the third time in his career (2011, 2012).
