Brian McTear '91 was featured in an article, "Bonding as only they could," in the Thursday, Dec. 17 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The article tells of the friendship that formed between Brian, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, and a young musician named Bobby Wolter, who also had the disease. Because Bobby also was infected with B. cepacia, which is highly contagious to others with cystic fibrosis, the two, who lived in the same neighborhood, never actually met; however, the two music enthusiasts formed a special bond via e-mail and Bobby's blog.
