Created at Hill in 2008, Skate for a Cure is a fundraising event that is held each year to raise money for cancer research and is open to all members of The Hill and Pottstown communities. All proceeds from the event benefit the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center and American Cancer Society via the Pottstown Area Relay for Life.

"I have been in the club since my fourth form year and last year, I was elected to be co-president of Skate for a Cure. This year’s event had far exceeded my expectations! I thought we would have a small turnout because of the timing of the event, but that was not the case at all. In fact, we had so many students, faculty, and people from the community come down to the rink and enjoy themselves for a great cause. Everyone had a smile on their face the entire night. It was great seeing my friends support me in making this fundraiser a huge success!"
