In the tradition of the Theatre of the Absurd, students in Dr. Yvonne LeBlanc's French 5 Senior Seminar class performed scenes adapted from Eugene Ionesco's "The Lesson" during Hill's Symposia Days (Jan. 26-27, 2010). After reading and discussing the play, students worked in small groups and reduced a particular scene to its "essence." They then decided how to interpret their roles while memorizing their individual parts. The result of their efforts is the following video.
