Graduation requirements  
 ENGLISH:
  • Four years. This requirement may be met through enrollment in English 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • Fifth and sixth form students may also be able to meet the English requirement for those two years by enrolling in Humanities 3 and 4.
  • The English 3 requirement may be met by enrolling in American Studies during the fifth form year.

LANGUAGES:

(Greek, Latin, Chinese, French, Spanish)

  • Completion of the study of one modern or classical language through the third year level.
    OR
  • Completion of the study of two languages through the second year level.
     

MATHEMATICS:

  • Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2

HISTORY:

  • Students entering in the third or fourth form: two years of history, one of which must be United States history taken in the fifth or sixth form.
  • Students entering in the fifth or sixth form: One year of United States history. 
  • The U.S. History requirement may also be met by enrolling in American Studies in the fifth form.

SCIENCE:

  • Two years of laboratory science.
    Not all science courses meet the laboratory science requirement.
     

Religious Studies:

  • One year of Religious Studies, this must be taken in the fifth or sixth form. Waived for post-graduate students.

ARTS:

  • History of Art and Music (for all students entering in the third form)
  • Students entering in the fourth form: three terms of Arts courses
  • Students entering in the fifth form: two terms of Arts courses
  • Students entering in the sixth form: one term of an Arts course
     

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • All courses of study are subject to the approval of the registrar.
  • Fifth and sixth form programs of study must also be approved by the College Advising Office.
  • Please keep in mind that these are the minimum requirements and that all students must be enrolled in at least five classes per term.
  • Under no circumstances will a student be allowed to enroll in more than six graded courses.
  • A seventh non-graded performing arts course will be approved under appropriate circumstances.
