The Writing Center is staffed by a director, Tony Reid, Hill ’75, and an assistant director, Meg Watson. Reid returned to The Hill in 2008 to open the Writing Center after spending 30 years as a reporter, columnist, and editor in the newspaper business, the last 22 at The Washington Post. In addition to running the Writing Center, Reid teaches two sections of journalism, is the adviser to the school newspaper, The Hill News, and the yearbook, the Dial. Watson arrived at The Hill in 2000 as an instructor of English and taught various courses within the department before stepping away from the classroom in 2011 to spend time raising her children.
