Other musical opportunities

Talented Hill musicians have the opportunity to audition for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association's (PMEA) chorus, orchestra, and band festival. In recent years, our students have represented The Hill in District Regionals and State levels. Pianists and members of the orchestra often participate in the jazz ensemble or as an accompanist for vocal groups. The following are other opportunities available for talented instrumentalists, who often perform prior to concerts or at other special on-campus events:

  • Afternoon arts (Please click here to read more about Hill's Afternoon Arts program).

  • Guitar ensembles

  • Flute ensembles

  • Jazz improve group

  • Private lessons, which are scheduled during students’ free periods, are available for an extra fee. Adjunct faculty offer private instruction in the following areas of interest: Piano, Guitar, Strings, Voice, and most woodwind instruments.
