On Saturday, January 9, members of The Hill community sampled many delicious homemade treats at the Cooking Club's annual Food Fair. Thanks to the support of students, faculty, and parents, more than $900 was raised at the event to benefit the local Pottstown Cluster of Churches.
The students representing the following tables won certificates to the Grille and will have their foods featured as special menu items in the Dining Hall:
Overall winner: Vegetable Biryini (Indian Table)
Soup: Gazpacho (Spanish Table)
Entrée #1: Mr. Washington’s Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Soul Food)
Entrée #2: Teriyaki Pork, Cucumber & Soy (Asian Food)
Starch: Shrimp Grits (Southern Ladies Table)
Sauce: Homemade Meatball and Sauce (Italian Table)
Dessert #1: Orange Gelato (Italian)
Dessert #2: Hamantaschen (Jewish Table)

The Cooking Club offers a special thanks to Catering Director Mr. Dan Katzenmoyer, Souse Chef Richard Ragan, and Director of Sodexho Food Service Mrs. Meghan Boyko who gave their time to sample the culinary delights and assist with the judging, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Scotese for helping out at the event, and Mrs. Yordan for offering her home to cook.
