 Access-Science: (Full-text) The on-line version of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology with continuous updates reflecting recent research developments, biographies of scientists and late-breaking science and technology news.

CountryWatch(Full-text): Provides information on each of the 192 recognized countries of the world including:

  • CountryReviews--demographic, political, economic, business, cultural and environental information;
  • CountryWire--daily news coverage and a news archive;
  • CountryWatch Forecast--a five-year macroeconomic forecast;

GreenFile: A free EBSCO database of bibliographic information and backfiles for certain key journals containing environmental information--also contains key non-scholarly titles.

GREENR: (Global Reference on the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources) is a new on-line resource that offers authoritative content on the development of emerging green technologies and discusses issues on the environment, sustainability, and more. Content includes commentary, audio, video, primary source documents, images, conference reports, and statistics on topics from around the world.

JSTOR: Full-text of more than 500 academic journals across all disciplines. View tutorial.

NewsBank: (Full-text) Local, Regional, National and International newspapers. Allows for first hand account as well as multiple perspectives from around the world on any giving Current Event. 980 National papers and 1280 international including 76 Pennsylvania newspapers.

Scientific American Archives: Scientific American Archive Online is a comprehensive, searchable science and technology resource containing the full text and graphics of every Scientific American issue from 1993 to the present. The archive features the writings and colorful graphics that readers of Scientific American have come to depend upon and enjoy. Each of the more than 4,000 articles in the archive is available to view online or to download in color PDF, and presented exactly as originally printed in the magazine. In addition to the regular monthly issues of the magazine, users will find all of the Scientific American special issues included in the archive as well. Among the topics covered in the archive are: health and medicine, cosmology and astronomy, chemistry, life sciences, physics, oceanography, medicine, mathematics, archaeology, and much more.

Science Online: (Full-text): Provides access to the full text of Science's print version back through 1997. Also includes daily breaking stories through the online service, ScienceNOW.
