Members of Hill's fourth form class completed their annual community service project on Tuesday, April 13 at the Ricketts Center, the local boys' and girls' club located a few blocks from Hill's campus.
Lindsey '12 Pottstown, Pa. "For our community service project, the fourth form worked at the local Ricketts Center in Pottstown. We planted flowers, cleaned the inside of the center, and held a spaghetti lunch for the community. We also planted trees at Edgewood Cemetery. In spite of the dreary weather, the fourth form accomplished a great deal and met many wonderful people. It felt rewarding to give back to our community."
Ronuk '12 Wyomissing, Pa.
"Our community service project at the Ricketts Center today turned out to be a very successful event. We decided to use this opportunity to help the Center because it is a very important part of the lives of many people in the Pottstown community. In addition to donating supplies for sports and arts and crafts, we picked up trash, planted flowers, landscaped, and held a senior citizens' luncheon. Despite the cold, rainy weather, we enjoyed being able to give something back to Pottstown. It is great that we could organize and plan this whole day to do our part to better the lives of local people and to help this great community center." |
