All students are required to participate in athletics during each year they are at Hill; their participation while at Hill will include interscholastic competition. The Hill's athletic offerings are sufficiently broad to engage the interest and skills of all our students, but sufficiently focused to be effective. We have made interscholastic competition the center of our program in order to best:
- Promote the values of hard work, teamwork, character, and competition.
- Focus the resources of a student body of no more than 500 students.
- Provide numerous opportunities for school spirit to be derived from interaction between spectator and team.
All Hill School students are required to participate in three seasons of athletics (one of which must be interscholastic). There are alternative activities in the arts, theatre, or community service.
