Depending on the season, The Hill has 13 to 15 fields which provide excellent practice opportunities and first-class competitive venues. All our fields have natural grass surfaces, which are maintained by a professional greens crew, which mows, waters, fertilizes, lines, and, overall, strives to produce great playing conditions.
Far Fields: Named for their location on far side of campus across Beech Street, the Far Fields are a five-minute walk from a student’s dorm room. This large area swarms with students every fall and spring day when sports practice begins at 4:00. There are seven soccer fields, two football practice fields, four field hockey fields, two baseball fields, three softball fields, and eight lacrosse fields. Dell Field: Football, in the fall, and boys' and girls' lacrosse games, in the spring, are played on this well-maintained venue, between the Dell and the Center For The Arts. With grandstands and film towers on both the north and south side of the field, plus an electronic scoreboard, the Dell Field is a fitting site for great competition.
Colbath Track Field: Boys' and girls' varsity soccer play their home games on the field inside the Colbath Track. An electronic scoreboard at one end and bleachers on the north side of the field contribute to making it a great venue for spectators and players alike. Read more about the Colbath Track Field.
