Nick Gore, Coach Seth Eilberg, and Alex Herzing

After a successful season at Hill, Alex Herzing will head to Bryant University and Nick Gore will head to Virginia Military Institute to play basketball this fall.

A post-graduate, Alex had a season-high 17 points in a huge Hill 77-48 win over Academy of New Church in January, going 7-11 from the field in that game. Throughout the season, the 7’0,” 260 lb. Herzing averaged 7.4 points per game and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 49% from the field.

At 6'6", Nick was a lead scorer this past season at 19 points per game; he also had an average of 6.4 rebounds per game. He shot 56% from the field and 48% from three-point range.

According to Head Coach Seth Eilberg, "Both Alex and Nick have been tremendous credits to Hill and our basketball program. They are wonderful young men who are true student-athletes. Both have excelled academically here, maintaining high honors averages, while also working very hard to improve athletically." He notes, "Both have made great strides physically and on their basketball skills. We expect them to have excellent college careers, and know that they will represent Hill proudly at the next level."
