On Saturday, June 5, the Class of 1960 gathered at 715 High Street to celebrate the dedication of their class gift - The Class of 1960 Alumni House. Thanks to the generosity and vision of the Class of 1960, the School’s work in alumni relations now will be housed in a professionally appointed environment – a place where Hill alumni always will feel welcomed, and an inviting space where alumni can meet each other and reconnect with their school.
The class exceeded the ambitious goal of $500,000 in funds required for this project, covering details ranging from the architects’ conceptualization to future completion and landscaping.
At the event, Headmaster Dougherty recognized the efforts of the class and their dedication to building the foundation this new home, particularly Class Secretary Lloyd Saltus, Holmes Lamoreux, John Taylor, Carl Ferenbach, Teddy McNally, Brooke Dudley, and Everett Sherrill, among others.
