The Hill welcomed Gene Weingarten, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winning feature writer and Washington Post columnist, on February 22 as the third speaker in our "Writers at Work" series. Weingarten fielded questions about the inspiration behind some of his favorite stories and shared insights into his craft. Also that day, students enrolled in Hill's Studio Arts classes attended an all-day workshop with artist Jim McFarlane. After Mr. McFarlane spoke to the class and offered instruction on watercolors, the budding student-artists spent the afternoon sketching and painting. On February 23, the boys' varsity hockey team played their final home game of the season against rival Lawrenceville. Fans gathered in the Edward Tuck Hall Arena to cheer on Hill as they defeated the Larries 5-3.
