On Monday, April 11, Hill's D period "Baseball in America" class had the privledge of listening to Jane Leavy talk about her recently published book, The Last Boy, a biography about baseball legend Mickey Mantle. After a powerful talk by Dr. Jean Kilbourn on the dangers of false advertising, Jason Coady's statistics class did a research project on the number of times magazine advertisements portrayed the images discussed by Dr. Kilbourn. Over the weekend, Hill's Sustainability Coordinator Marie Fechik-Kirk and a group of students attended an Eco Conference and then went for a hike in celebration of Earth Day.
