Because the week of April 17-22 was shortened due to Easter vacation, photos from the weeks of April 17-22 and 23-30 have been combined into one "Photos of the Week" gallery.
The highlight of the shortened Easter vacation week was a visit to campus from Dr. Richard Lederer on April 18. Dr. Lederer, a long-time teacher at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH, is well-known as a master of word play of the English Language. Dr. Lederer taught five periods of English classes and had lunch with members of the faculty during his visit. The following week saw the third form History of Art and Music (HAM) classes take their annual field trip to Philadelphia to tour a Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit at the Franklin Center in the morning, and watch a play at The Kimmel Center in the afternoon. Another highlight of Friday was the well-received 150 Mile Meal. Students were treated to dinner with products from farms that are with-in a 150 mile radius of The School. Following the meal, alumnus Jason Ingle ’93 spoke to members of the Hill Community about Greener Partners, a Philadelphia-based, non-profit focused on connecting communities through food, farms, and education. Jason discussed sustainable agriculture and shared his journey from being Hill student to his work with Greener partners. Then, on Saturday afternoon, students and faculty members traveled to the Greener Partners’ Organic Farm in Collegeville.
