Class of 2011 College Commitments
L-R: Alex Hoey, Ryan Clinesmith, Nate Basalyga, Avery Robinson
Missing: Trey Harry

An unprecedented five players will move on from the class of 2011 to play basketball in college.  Below are Head Coach Seth Eilberg's thoughts on each player:

Nate Basalyga (South Abington Township, PA) - University of Maryland Baltimore County
“Nate took advantage of his post-grad year and is now stronger and ready for the rigors of Division I basketball. He is a great teammate, has a high basketball IQ, is tough and physical, can pass, and works hard- all things that with his 6’9 frame should lead to a successful college career. He was a real joy to coach this year because he does whatever he can to help his team, and has fun doing it.”

Ryan Clinesmith (New York, NY) - Wheaton College
"Despite battling injuries throughout the season, Ryan remained committed to the team, giving what he could in enthusiasm and support of his teammates when he was unable to play, which showed his maturity and character. When he was healthy, his scoring, rebounding, and physicality were tremendous assets to the team’s success; those talents combined with his incredible work ethic both on and off the court will help him make an immediate impact at Wheaton."

Trey Harry (Baltimore, MD) - Ursinus College
“Trey finishes his outstanding three-year Hill career in the top five all time in steals and assists. The team’s top defender, Trey came on very strong down the stretch and his play at tourney time was a major key to Hill’s championship run. In the MAPL tourney, he upped his averages, shooting 70% from the field and scoring 14.3 ppg while dishing out 19 assists against only 4 turnovers in the three games. A quiet but effective leader, Trey served as team co-captain.”

Alex Hoey (Macungie, PA) - Washington and Lee University
“Alex made his mark as a dependable long range threat (28 threes) and do-it-all contributor. Starting every game of the season, Alex played up to four different positions as needed for Hill and was the team’s third leading scorer with 8.2 PPG. Alex is an outstanding leader both on and off the court, serving as both a team co-captain and the school president.”

Avery Robinson (Corvallis, OR) - Wesleyan University
"Avery was a key part of our team’s success this year as a post-graduate. His poise and command were never more evident than when he flawlessly ran the team with Trey in serious foul trouble in our MAPL championship game victory over Hun. Avery is an outstanding passer, has the ability to play a number of positions, and can shoot the three. His versatility, court vision, and basketball IQ will allow him to have success at Wesleyan."
