The 1889 baseball team
A team is eligible for Hall of Fame nomination only after 15 years following the conclusion of its nomination season. A maximum of ONE team will be inducted each year.
The Hall of Fame induction criteria for a team is slightly different than the Trophy Room induction criteria for the purpose of determining which teams are the “best of the best.” In order to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, a team’s winning percentage must be NO LESS THAN 90%- it is preferred that a team finished undefeated or turned in a record-breaking performance. Other criteria that will be considered include championships won, the level of competition, and the length the team held any records that were set. Outstanding relay teams for swimming and track may be nominated. All letter winners, coaches, and managers from the team will be inducted.
