The
2011 Hill vs. Lawrenceville Weekend is Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12. Games will be held Saturday afternoon at Lawrenceville. The weekend festivities will officially begin Friday evening with the fifth annual Red Meat Dinner, hosted by faculty
emeritus Mr. Thomas Ruth, which will be held at the Union League in Philadelphia. The guest speaker is Tom Walter '87, head baseball coach at Wake Forest University. Tom made national headlines in February when he
donated his kidney to freshman outfielder Kevin Jordan and has since earned numerous accolades, including the National Sportsmanship Award and the first ever Tom Walter College Baseball Inspiration Award sponsored by collegebaseballinsider.com. Full details about the Red Meat Dinner and a registration form can be found
here.
On Saturday, Hill's athletics teams will take on the Big Red in a continuation of one of the nation's oldest high school athletic rivalries. An alumni and parent tent staffed by members of the Advancement Office will be set up on Lawrenceville's campus for alumni, parents and friends of The Hill to stop in, say hello, and have light refreshments. A map of Lawrenceville's campus including the location of the Parent/Alumni tent and game locations
is available here.
Directions to Lawrenceville are available here.
