Student representatives to serve The Hill School’s Student Government Association (SGA) and Honor Council have been selected for the 2012-2013 school year. These students, elected by their peers, are rising fourth form (sophomore), fifth form (junior), and sixth form (senior) students, who recently addressed the student body regarding their future plans and recommendations for the School.
The newly elected members of SGA are as follows: Ted Poatsy ’13 (President), Eugene Alvey ’13 (Vice-president), Charles Bushmann ‘13, Megan Ruane ‘13, Sierra Stratton ’13, George Cleveland ‘14, Cameron Isen ‘14, Calvin Wentling ’14, Charlotte Higgins-Iati ‘15, Zach Keller ‘15, and Sunny Saluja ’15.
The SGA provides students the opportunity to communicate with the School administration and foster a community that responds to the needs of all its members. The SGA has 19 members, which includes faculty representatives and officers elected from each form.
The following students were elected as Honor Council representatives: Kara Beckman ‘13, Patrick Carmody ‘13, Allen Zhang ‘13, Jack Crispin ‘14, Rosa Volpe ’14, Anessa Amin ‘15, and Preston Tietjen ’15.
The Honor Council helps to educate and inform the School community about issues relating to the Honor Code, academic honesty, and personal integrity. There are 11 members of the Honor Council including faculty and students from the fourth through sixth forms.
