During Halloween weekend (October 30-31), 19 Hill alumni crew enthusiasts, from classes spanning five decades -- 1951 to 1992 -- gathered in Philadelphia for the 40th anniversary Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. The Regatta, co-founded by Hill’s Lyman Perry ’56, Olympic rower and award-winning architect, has become Philadelphia’s largest regatta.

Davis Bales ’81 led the charge in recruiting Hill rowers to participate in this great event! Other alumni in attendance were Sean Curran ’84, Bart Schick ’60, Mike O'Brien ’84, Darren Crispin ’84, Derek Stedman ’51, John Kiyonaga ’72, Paul Oberbeck ’80, Paul Kiyonaga ’81, Gregg LeStage ’84, John Ridgway ’84, Peter Pansing ’63, Kris Fetter ’84, William Devaney ’84, Lou Klauder ’54, Sean Gibbons ’92, Charlie Streitwieser ’85, Andrew Basile ’87, and Gary Tan ’85.

Family members gathered by The Hill tent, close to the boat launch area, which featured food, drinks, and other goodies. They were able to give their Hillies a proper send off down the Schuylkill in style.
