2021 NFHCA High School All-Region teams

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has named 48 student-athletes to their high school All-American team including two Hill School field hockey players - Maddy Orsi ’22 and Maggie Kondrath ’23. Being chosen to a NFHCA post-season team is the highest honor available to a high school field hockey player in the United States.

Maggie earned First-Team All-American honors and Maddy earned Third-Team All-America distinction. Both players also were named NFHCA First-Team All-Region; joining the duo on the All-Region team is Rease Coleman ’22 on the Second Team.

In addition to their NFCHA honors, Maddy, Maggie, and Reese were named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Preparatory League (MAPL) Team and the Pottstown Mercury All-Area Team for their contributions to Hill’s team this past season.

Next fall, Maggie will lead Hill’s team at midfield, while Maddy and Reese will continue their field hockey careers at the collegiate level at the University of Virginia and Cornell University, respectively.

For the 2021 season, Hill field hockey landed third on the Max Field Hockey Top 20 Pennsylvania Region High School rankings with a record of 17-2. Hill faced off against Episcopal Academy (ranked #2) in the Pennsylvania Independent School Athletic Association (PAISAA) championship game where after a hard-fought battle, they lost 2-3. However, with a win over Lawrenceville earlier on in the season (5-0), Hill field hockey did claim the MAPL championship title for the third consecutive year.
