Each spring during The Hill School Alumni Association Induction Brunch, members of the soon-to-be-graduating class are reminded that they’ll always be welcomed back “home” to campus and of the steadfast strength of Hill ties. When the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the United States during the spring, many college seniors faced the difficult prospect of seeking employment in a volatile economy. It was the perfect opportunity for the School to showcase the strength of its close-knit network.
To assist young alumni, the School instituted a Teacher Trainee program for the 2020-2021 academic year. Trainees will work alongside Hill faculty members in various aspects of school life, including in the classroom, co-curricular activities, residential life, and student life with the goal of gaining experience in pursuit of a full-time career in education.
This year we welcome five alumni teacher trainees "home" to The Hill: Chris Gorycki ’16, Morgan Healy ’15, Taylor Lange ’16, Kurt Neumaier ’16, and Garrison Smith ’15. Meet our alumni teacher trainees.
