Three Hill Field Hockey Athletes to Compete on a National Stage

The rosters for the United States Rise Women’s National Team and the United States U-16 Women’s National Team were announced on February 18, 2022, Three Hill School field hockey players were selected to represent the United States on a national stage. Riley Savage ’25 was named to the U.S. U-16 Women’s National Team. Maggie Kondrath ’23 and Hala Silverstein ’23 were named to the U.S. Rise Women’s National Team.

All three athletes attended a five-day selection camp at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, California where they were evaluated by the USA Field Hockey’s Junior High Performance Staff. Coaches finalized the rosters based on their assessments of players at the camp.

“The opportunity to train and compete with the best around the country was something I will never forget.” Kondrath expressed. “I am excited to continue to participate in training camps around the country with the Rise National Team in the upcoming months.”

Silverstein agreed with saying, “The experience at selection camp was a valuable one. It’s such a unique opportunity to play with and against the best players from throughout the country.”

Kondrath and Silverstein will meet the team in Durham, North Carolina for a training camp from March 11 to March 14 before hosting the Canada U-18 Women’s National Team for a four-match series at the end of April, which will take place in North Carolina.

Savage will also join her team in Raleigh, North Carolina for a training camp from March 11 to March 14 before traveling to Vancouver, Canada for a four-match series against the Canada U-16 Women’s National Team at the end of April.

“I am most excited about the new opportunities I will get to experience, and the new people I will get to meet.  Savage commented. “I am looking forward to getting advice and tips from new coaches and finding new ways to improve and get my game to the next level.”
