The Hill School is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Lawrence as the inaugural head girls’ volleyball coach for the fall 2026 season.
“As we started talking with local club directors and coaches, Steph’s name emerged because of her success in both the high school and club volleyball space,” said Hill School Director of Athletics Bill Stiles. “In every conversation we had, it became more clear to me that Steph was committed to student growth outside of the classroom - helping them build confidence, character, resilience, and leadership.”
Lawrence joins The Hill community after spending three seasons at Spring-Ford High School, where she helped lead the Rams to the 2025 PIAA State Championship, along with a runner-up finish in the 2024 PIAA State Championship. Lawrence has also spent six years as a head coach with Club Integrity Volleyball, widely recognized as one of the top volleyball clubs in the area. There, she led athletes from ages 12-18 to multiple championships and medal placements in tournaments throughout the United States.
“I’m incredibly excited for the unique opportunity to build a successful girls’ volleyball program at The Hill School,” said Lawrence. “The Hill is a place that supports students on the court and off, and we’re going to build a program that feels like home. As a mother of three young children, I know how important stability, support, and belonging truly are. I want our athletes to know what we stand for, what we expect, and that they’ll always be supported while being challenged to be their best.”
In addition to her high school and club coaching experience, Lawrence spent two seasons as the head coach at Montgomery County Community College, where she led the team to the NJCAA Region 19 Championships. After a successful career at Methacton High School, where she was a three-time team captain, Lawrence played collegiately at Neumann and Millersville.
“I have a deep passion for the game and for helping students grow, compete, and succeed in every aspect of life,” concluded Lawrence.
