Hill School Faculty, Staff, and Students Thank Local Health Care Workers
On Friday, April 10, Heather Gelting, The Hill School's human resources director, along with representatives from Hobart's Run, joined Rocky Citrino of Little Italy Pizza, to deliver 350 hoagies to Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health and 25 to Goodwill Steam Fire Engine Co. No. 1 on High Street as a token of appreciation for their selfless work during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Hill faculty and staff, along with the Women of The Hill group, took a collection and raised $1,800 to provide this lunch to our hometown heroes in collaboration with the ever-generous Rocky.
Accompanying the food were beautiful handmade thank-you cards with handwritten notes created by Iha Chikkala '21 (Phoenixville, Pa.). As part of the School's Virtual Hill Community Service program, which falls under Hobart's Run, students are encouraged to do whatever they can from their homes. Iha has dedicated her time - and her talents - to showing her support to our local health care professionals.
