Hill School Student Receives Honorable Mention in 2026 Congressional Art Competition

Congratulations to Nduka Nnadi '26 for earning an Honorable Mention for his digital photography, Green Bubbles,in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for the Fourth District of Pennsylvania sponsored by Congresswoman Madeleine Dean.

Out of more than 100 entries, Green Bubbles was one of five works selected to hang in the Capitol for the next year. Each year, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors the Artistic Discovery Contest, a high school Congressional Art Competition, to recognize and encourage artistic talent nationwide and in each congressional district.

According to Athey Family Master Teacher of the Arts Diane Deery P'21'23, Congresswoman Dean was intrigued by the green bubbles and hoped they were natural green algae rather than chemical waste. Certainly, a “natural” question to ask in this “climate.”
