Hill Welcomes Newest Member of the Board of Trustees

The Hill School is happy to announce that Anna Bayne Carouge '08 was appointed to the Board of Trustees on June 8, 2019. The Hill School Board of Trustees met on campus for its summer session during the School's annual Reunion Weekend. In addition to committee meetings, the Board voted in James L. Alexandre '75 as the new Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and recognized Andy Soussloff '71 for his service and leadership upon his retirement from the Board.

Anna Bayne Carouge '08 joined the Board of Trustees in June 2019. Originally from Orangeville, Pa., Anna arrived at Hill during her fourth form year. After graduating in 2008, she attended Colgate University where she earned a B.A. in political science. In 2012, Anna moved to Manhattan and started a career at Morgan Stanley, attracted to the opportunity to engage in a fast paced global marketplace. During this time, Anna recognized how technology had the ability to disrupt an organization—or an entire industry. This led Anna to the next step in her career in technology.  As a part of the Strategic Partnerships Team at Oracle, Anna was responsible for helping organizations implement data driven marketing strategies to improve their customer experience. Anna currently works for LinkedIn, advising enterprise organizations how to leverage LinkedIn’s data to increase revenue. Anna resides in Brooklyn with her husband, Stefan Carouge ’08. She is the daughter of John E. Hopkins Jr. ’78 and sister to Molly Knott Hopkins ’13.  She serves as Gift Chair for Colgate Class of '12 and The Hill School Reunion Committee.

James L. Alexandre '75 was appointed vice chairman of the Board of Trustees in June 2019. He rejoined The Hill School Board of Trustees in June 2013 after a prior appointment from July 1976 through June 1979. He currently serves as chairman of the Campus Planning Committee, and he is a member of the Education, Executive, Governance, and Institutional Giving and Committees. Mr. Alexandre is a private investor managing a diversified portfolio of public and private investments, and serves on numerous corporate and not-for-profit Boards. He earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School. Mr. Alexandre and his wife, Julie, are the parents of four children and reside in Haverford, Pa.
