Hill Welcomes Six New Members to the Board of Trustees

The Hill School’s Board of Trustees held their spring session June 6-7, 2025 in conjunction with Reunion Weekend. In addition to committee meetings and reviewing plans for campus projects and the upcoming Strategic Plan, the Board voted on the appointments of six new Trustees, whose terms officially began July 1: Matthew M. Greenberg 87 P’22, David B. Kirk ’78, R. Chadwick Moore ’87 P’19 ’20 ’22 ’24, Suzanne Peters-Erlick ’05, Alexandria Shomber-Warner ’08, and Richard L. Walton ’02. Matthew M. Greenberg ’87 P’22

Matthew M. Greenberg '87 P’22 joined The Hill School Board of Trustees in 2025.  He currently is a partner and member of the Executive Committee at Troutman Pepper Locke LLP where he advises clients on their key transactions and governance matters. He focuses his practice on private equity and strategic M&A transactions.  Matt started his career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in the corporate group.  He was the president of the Delaware State Bar Association in 2010-2011.  He earned his B.A. with honors in political science from Trinity College and his J.D. magna cum laude from American University Washington College of Law.  Matt and his wife, Megan, live in Wilmington, Del., and they have two children, Ben ’22 and a daughter who lives in New York City.

David B. Kirk ’78

David B. Kirk 78 joined The Hill School Board of Trustees in June 2025.  He is the former chief scientist of NVIDIA and currently serves on several non-profit and private company boards. He earned his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering and engineering science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science from Caltech.  Dr. Kirk and his wife, Caroline Landry, are the parents of two children and reside in Waimea, Hawaii.

R. Chadwick Moore ’87 P’19 ’20 ’22 ’24

R. Chadwick Moore ’87 P’19 ’20 ’22 ’24 joined the Board of Trustees in June 2025. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina/Greensboro where he earned a B.A. in political science and economics. He spent eight years in New York City working for Dean Witter, Morgan Stanley and Oppenheimer as an equity trader. He is the founding member and principal of Beacon Hospitality, LLC. BH manages, develops, and owns hotels in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Chad also serves on the Franchise Advisory Committee for Wyndham Hotels Microtel brand. Chad resides in Rehoboth Beach, Del. and Steamboat Springs, Colo. with his wife, Elyse. They are the proud parents of four Hill graduates.

Suzanne Peters-Erlick ’05

Suzanne Peters-Erlick ’05 joined the Board in 2025. She grew up in Sparta, N.J. and arrived at The Hill School during her fourth form year. After graduating from The Hill in 2005, Ms. Peters-Erlick earned a B.A. magna cum laude in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law.  She is currently senior counsel at Hearst Corporation, one of the nation’s largest global, diversified information, services and media companies. In her role, she advises Hearst’s 360 businesses on labor and employment laws and matters and leads the labor & employment team within Hearst’s Office of General Counsel. Prior to Hearst, she was senior counsel at WeWork and an associate at Jackson Lewis, where she focused on employment law. Suzanne and her husband reside in Hoboken, N.J. with their two children.

Alexandria Shomber-Warner ’08

Alexandria Shomber-Warner ’08 joined the Board in 2025. She holds an M.A. in international relations from the University of St. Andrews. She began her career in sales at Bloomberg LP in New York City, where she managed Bloomberg's buy-side business in New York and Texas. Alexandria is currently an account executive at Salesforce, overseeing key financial services accounts across the Midwest. She resides in Chicago with her husband, Cooper, and their two children, George and Greer.

Richard L. Walton ’02

Richard L. Walton ’02 joined the Board in June 2025. Mr. Walton is an entrepreneur who has founded and sold numerous businesses in the alternative energy, technology, waste management and oil & gas industries. He currently serves as the founder and principal at Walton Renewables, LLC, an alternative energy development company based in Pittsburgh, Pa. He founded Archaea Energy in 2018, took the company public on the NYSE (“LFG”), and sold the business to BP at the end of 2022.  He also founded Noble Environmental in 2016 which has grown into one of the largest private regional waste management companies in the U.S. He is a personal angel investor or board member at multiple technology start-ups in the AI field. He serves on the executive board of the Friends of Dartmouth Football. He has a degree in economics from Dartmouth College. Mr. Walton resides in Eighty Four, Pa., and he is the father of three children.
