Hill’s 2024 MiniTHON Raises $6,900 for Childhood Cancer Research

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, Hill students participated in the annual MiniTHON event. Emulating Penn State’s dance marathon fundraiser, THON, students gathered in the Mercer Field House for a night of fun while raising money for childhood cancer research. The goal of the night was to have everyone on their feet, and this was achieved with activities like miniature golf, basketball, Spikeball, and more.

The main event of the evening was the student vs. faculty dodgeball tournament where the faculty team played against four teams, one for each form. The night ended with a 46-minute dance marathon to tunes mixed by student DJ, David Jordan ’25. The Hill community enjoyed a jam-packed night of fun and raised total of $6,900 for the Four Diamonds organization.

The event was led by Mason Moore ’24 and Ella Lee ’24, who were proud of their successful night. “This is my fourth year participating in MiniTHON, and each year it is special to see our community come together in support of something bigger than us,” stated Moore.

The time and dedication that went into planning did not go unnoticed either. Ella Lee ’24 said, “We are incredibly grateful for all the faculty and students who came out to support and are excited to see this event come together in future years.”
