Hobart’s Run Issues Second Round of Emergency Response Grants

Hobart's Run, The Hill School’s community engagement and economic development initiative, has stepped up yet again to help small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Pottstown as they grapple with the effects of Covid-19 on their operations, employees, and outreach.

Hobart's Run has issued a second round of its COVID-19 Emergency Response grants to five local businesses and four local nonprofits. The first round of grants were distributed in April. Thanks to funds contributed by Hobart’s Run and supplemented by generous donations from Hobart’s Run Board members and Hill School alumni, parents, faculty, and staff, a total of 14 local nonprofits and 10 businesses are benefitting from $17,000 in grants.

The recipients of the small business grants are Grumpy’s Handcarved Sandwiches, Welcome to The Avenue, Maximum Asset, Ratigan Brewing, and Seed and Soil. Each business will receive a $1,000 grant.

The nonprofit grants were awarded to Pottstown PAL, the Phillies Fire Co., Pottstown Bible Church, and Trellis for Tomorrow. These organizations will receive $500.
