Sheila and Tom Richey ’50 drove all the way to The Hill from Houston, Texas on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 to present a special gift to The Hill School. The couple generously donated a one-of-a-kind, original painting, “George Washington and Molly Pitcher on the Battlefield of Monmouth, New Jersey, circa 1778.”

The painting now is prominently displayed above the fireplace in the Saunders Room in the Dining Hall, joining our treasured N.C. Wyeth collection. We are grateful to Mr. and Dr. Richey for this amazing piece. The Hill is honored to be its new home.
