The Hill School Appoints Co-Directors of College Counseling

We are pleased to announce that Lauren Hoyt and Jodi Robinson will serve as Co-Directors of College Counseling at The Hill School. This appointment will become effective July 1, 2022.

With more than 16 years of college counseling experience, Lauren Hoyt has spent the last nine years as a member of The Hill’s College Counseling team, serving as Senior Associate Director since 2017. She is a respected colleague and dedicated adviser and mentor to Hill students as they navigate both their time at Hill and as they look ahead to their futures in college and beyond.

Jodi Robinson joins The Hill’s College Counseling Office after serving as Senior Associate Director of Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania since 2011. In addition to her work at UPenn, she brings to Hill a wide range of admission experience from highly selective colleges and universities, including Bucknell, American, Carnegie Mellon, and Wesleyan, as well as independent school and international expertise.

“On behalf of The Hill, please join me in congratulating Lauren on her promotion and welcoming Jodi to our community. Through their shared leadership, Lauren and Jodi will lean into the uniqueness of Hill and advocate for our students in ways to ensure they stand out from applicants from other schools. It is an exciting time for our Hill community,” says The Meigs Family Head of School Zachary G. Lehman P’16 ’18.

Lauren and Jodi were named co-directors after an extensive national search, led by a committee of Hill faculty and trustees, including Scott Wilson P’10, Chair of the Admission and College Counseling Committee of Hill’s Board of Trustees.

“I am thrilled to have both Lauren and Jodi in place to lead to the everchanging landscape of College Counseling,” notes Scott. “In addition to her tremendous institutional knowledge, Lauren has served as a mentor to her colleagues and will bring a unique, data-driven approach to the Office. Jodi’s extensive experience in leadership, admission, and financial aid is the perfect complement to round out an inspirational management team. I am eager to see the College Counseling team thrive under their joint leadership.”
