Reunion Weekend Schedule of Events

FRIDAY, JUNE 7

3 – 8 p.m.  |  Registration and Dormitories OpenJohn P. Ryan Library, Lobby
Stop by the Library to pick up your registration packet and Reunion give-a-way. Dormitories open for those staying on campus.           

4 p.m.  |  Alumni Class Parade | The Quad
Gather with your classmates on the Quad for festivities to kick-off the weekend. Wear your blazer, H sweater, or best blue and gray attire. Prizes will be awarded for the best display of school spirit.

5 p.m.  |  Alumni Convocation | Alumni Chapel
Experience anew the tradition of Chapel. Special Speaker: Senior Master Teacher of Science Mark Nelson P’10 ’13 who will retire at the end of this year after 44 years of teaching and coaching at The Hill.

6 - 11 p.m.  |  Childcare | Mercer Field House
Kids can enjoy a party of their own with dinner, games, crafts, and more. Pre-registration required.

6 p.m.  |  Welcome Home Cocktail Reception | Millhiser Family Dining Room and Class of1971 Garden
Join current faculty, faculty emeriti, and members of The Hill School Board of Trustees for a cocktail reception. 

7 p.m.  |  Welcome Home Dinner | Millhiser Family Dining Room
Food, friends, and fun music. Attire: Casual and spirit wear.

9 p.m.  |  Coffee and Conversation | Memorial Room and Class of 2018 Firepit
Looking for a quiet place to converse with friends? Head to the Memorial Room and Class of 2018 Firepit for coffee and dessert.

11 p.m. |  Campus Quiet Hours
Campus will shut down to prepare for the next day’s activities. Still want to spend time with friends and classmates? Head to local venues for tasty food and drink. See FAQs for suggestions.

    Take a journey through the campus to witness the impact of the Class of 1964’s philanthropy throughout the years.

  • Who The Hill Are They? | Dining Hall, Pinpoint Boardroom
    Learn about the history of the individuals for whom the buildings on Hill’s campus are named. Hosted by Homer Royer ’77 P'08 and Lou Jeffries, Hill archivist.
  • Academic Sessions with Faculty | Various Locations
    Return to the Harkness table and experience what is happening in classrooms today.

10:45 a.m.  |  Class of 1969 Discussion: “Mr. Rolfe and Our Hill Experience” | Shirley Quadrivium Center, Science Library
Mark O’Brien ’69 will be leading a 45-minute discussion of Edmund Wilson’s essay, “Mr. Rolfe” (1942). Wilson opens a unique window into the “literariness” of our Hill experience.

Celebrate the end of Reunion Weekend with dinner and dancing. Attire:  Academic Dress
Academic Dress consists of two options (1) jacket, button down shirt, tie, and pants; or (2) blazer, shirt/blouse, skirt, or slacks.

6 p.m.  | Reunion Milestone Cocktail Reception and Dinner | Various Locations
Classes celebrating their 5th, 25th, and 50th Reunion will have milestone dinners. Class photos will be taken at the event.
