Dance
Dancers explore two different techniques each term throughout the school year, which include ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and hip hop. Each term culminates with a performance opportunity in the form of a dance recital. Classes are conducted in Hill’s beautifully furnished dance studio.
Students who take the course will gain skills in coordination, flexibility, movement memory and vocabulary, and stage direction. Additionally, each dancer can explore their own choreographic pursuits through independent study projects.
Courses Offered:
Introduction to Dance: Explore components of rhythm, dance movement, and technique of fundamental dance styles. Techniques include ballet, modern jazz, musical theater, and tap.
Advanced Dance Fundamentals: Dancers with experience are encouraged to broaden and develop their technical and performance abilities through this course.
