Seeds for the 2020 Pennsylvania Independent School Athletic Association (PAISAA) boys’ and girls’ basketball tournaments have been released along with brackets and the event schedule. All play-in, first round, and quarterfinal games will be completed by Saturday, February 15 with the higher seed serving as the host school. The tournament’s Final Four will take place on February 21 and February 22; on the girls’ side, Friends Central School will host the semifinal games and the championship will take place at Montgomery County Community College. MONTCO is the host site of the semifinal and championship rounds for the boys’ tournament.
Admission is free for the first three rounds. For the semifinal and final, there is an entry fee of $5 for adults and $3 for students.
On the girls’ side, Hill is the 9-seed and will visit 8-seed Episcopal Academy on Thursday, February 13 for a 4:30 PM game. Although the Churchwomen narrowly defeated Hill in the regular season meeting between the teams, Hill was missing key players to injury who have since returned to the lineup. The winner will advance to play top-seed and defending champion Germantown Academy at GA on Saturday, February 15 at 2 PM.
The Hill boys are the tournament’s second seed and host Haverford School on Friday, February 14 at 5 PM. Hill bested the Fords by 11-points when the teams met in December. If Hill advances, the Blues will host the winner of the (7) Phelps School vs. (10) Springside Chestnut Hill Academy game on February 15. Both games will be streamed on Local Live.
