USA Today announced the 2022-2023 All-USA TODAY High School Sports Awards Field Hockey team on February 3, 2023. Two Hill School student-athletes – Maggie Kondrath ’23 and Hala Silverstein ’23- are among the 25 athletes in the country to be nominated for this prestigious award.

This was a banner year for Maggie and Hala as they received numerous honors for their successes on the field. They both were named to the 2022 U.S. Rise Women’s National Team and 2022 MAX Field Hockey High School National All-American First Team and received USA Today’s 2022-2023 High School Sports Awards Field Hockey team recognition. They also were named to the All-Mid Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) First Team and the Pottstown Mercury’s All-Area First Team.

Maggie will continue her academic and athletic career at Duke University in the fall. Hala will matriculate to the University of Michigan where she will play field hockey for the Wolverines.

The winner of the 2022-2023 National Field Hockey Player of the Year be revealed this upcoming summer during an on-demand broadcast that will feature the top athletes in 31 boys’ and girls’ sports award categories.
