Baseball

The program’s history is a source of pride amongst our current players, all of whom are well aware of it and strive to continue that excellence and write their own chapter in the program’s history book. Baseball is one of the oldest interscholastic sports at The Hill, dating back to the 1880s.

Baseball season at Hill officially begins in late February, and runs through the end of May. The Hill is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL), which also includes Blair Academy, The Hun School of Princeton, Lawrenceville School, Mercersburg Academy, and Peddie School. The 22-27 game schedule includes two games against each MAPL opponent, as well as a handful of non-league games against other independent schools from the Mid-Atlantic region.

The season concludes with the Pennsylvania Independent School Athletic Association (PAISAA) State Tournament, comprised of that season’s 16 best independent school teams in the state.
