Hill is a member of the six-team Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL), which also includes regional power Blair Academy (Blairstown, N.J.), The Hun School of Princeton (Princeton, N.J.), Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, Pa.), and Peddie School (Hightstown, N.J.). Outside of our MAPL schedule, we compete against several teams from the Philadelphia Inter-Ac and Friends Leagues, as well as top programs from New Jersey.
Throughout the year we also participate in regional and national events such as the She Got Game Tournament, The Bullis Holiday Tournament, the Art Turner Memorial Showcase, and the SayYesToSuccess Prep Nationals. These experiences strengthen our team bond, challenge our skills and teamwork, and give our players wide exposure, especially those that hope to play at the collegiate level.
Our players strive to succeed on-and-off the court because The Hill program is built first and foremost on being great teammates and members of the Hill Community. Our experienced and respected coaches teach Hill girls to push themselves harder than they’ve been pushed before, and instill in them the program’s core values of family, grit and passion. The little things matter to us because we know that consistently doing the little things well, positions us to achieve our highest goals.
In recent years, numerous alumnae have moved on to play college basketball across all levels at programs including Bucknell University, Colgate University, the University of Hartford, Beloit College, Gettysburg College, Franklin and Marshall College, Lebanon Valley College, Dickinson College, Eastern University, the University of New England, and Virginia Wesleyan University.
Please consider visiting campus to see for yourself all that Hill has to offer. If you have any questions or would like to discuss Hill basketball in more detail, please email Coach Weissbach.
