Field Hockey

Field hockey at The Hill School dates back to the fall of 1998, the first year of coeducation at the school. Field hockey quickly became and continues to be one of The Hill’s most dominant girl sports – in 2001, the team went undefeated and won the MAPL Championship. Since then, the team has won 12 more MAPL Championships, with its most recent title coming in 2022. In the 2022 season, the team won the PAISAA State Championship for the first time in history. The team’s continued success can be attributed to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by the players and coaching staff alike on a daily basis. Many girls play indoor field hockey throughout the winter for some of the nation’s top-ranked club programs, allowing them to stay sharp in the offseason and compete against the best competition across the country. The Hill’s location in suburban-Philadelphia puts it in the middle of the field hockey hotbed of the United States. Because of its location, The Hill fills out an incredibly competitive schedule every year which attracts top-level talent.
