Campus Life
December 3 to 9, 2018

Throughout the week in the dormitories, students prepared for the upcoming holidays by decorating Christmas trees in common rooms and making gingerbread houses!

This also was a week filled with a lot of on-campus athletics and arts events. On Wednesday, most of our winter teams competed at home among the cheers of devoted Hill fans. The varsity girls' ice hockey team enjoyed an exciting 4-3 victory over Lawrencevillle after Jordan Hower '20 scored a goal with just eight seconds left in the game!

On Friday evening, the students in Hill's Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, and Hilltones and Hilltrebles, delighted friends, faculty, and family with the sounds of the holiday season during our annual Winter Music Festival. On Sunday evening, community members gathered in the Alumni Chapel for the annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols. The holiday service included an organ prelude, scripture reading, and songs and hymns performed by The Hill’s student choral groups and a community choir.

The varsity girls' basketball team traveled off campus and took in the sites of our nation's capital during the weekend. They were in Washington, D.C. to participate in the Art Turner Memorial Basketball Tournament.
