Campus Life
September 6 through 12, 2021

The 2021-22 academic year officially kicked off with Convocation where The Hill community was entertained by an energetic musical performance by students who attended the first-ever Theatre Bootcamp. The Hilltones and Hilltrebles led the community in singing "Dear, Old Hill" (The Hill School Fight Song), and SGA President Co-Presidents Sarah Jiang '22 and Noah Toole '22 and Head of School Zack Lehman addressed all students and faculty.

Following Convocation, students enjoyed dinner with their advisory groups, many of which were held in their adviser's on-campus home. The next day was the first day of school! Students dressed in academic dress navigated their way around campus to attend a full day of classes and traditional seated lunch.

On Thursday, students and faculty gathered in the CFTA for our annual Honor Code Signing Ceremony. Led by Honor Council President Will Biggs ’22, the members of the Honor Council spoke to the three tenets of the Honor Code. At the conclusion of the ceremony, every student and faculty member in attendance signed the Honor Code book, pledging to uphold these tenets in all aspects of their life at Hill.

The weekend was filled with a number of activities for students including the Club Fair, Vollleyball Challenge, and first round of the Dorm Cup. The weekend also marked the first Saturday of athletics competition for the fall season. Many students were out cheering on their classmates!
