Virtual Parent Series
The Hill School Counseling Center presents the May Mental Health Virtual Parent Series. This series consists of two workshops focusing on different aspects of adolescent mental health presented exclusively by Jon Mattleman, the Clinical Director for the New England Region of Minding Your Mind and a mental health counselor and trainer with 30 years of experience working with youths, parents, and families. Wednesday, May 17 from 7 - 9 p.m. | "The Secret Lives of Teens & Tweens"
Overview:
This workshop is a dynamic and fun two-hour presentation for parents and caregivers that actively focuses on what children in these age groups are really thinking, what they fear, why they do not share more, and how adults can effectively support teens and tweens in their lives. This presentation will cover areas such as depression and anxiety, social media and technology, suicide, ‘acting out behaviors, drug and alcohol use, and more.
