The Hill School requires every student must be enrolled in a USA based health insurance plan for the entire duration of the school year. This plan must be valid in the State of Pennsylvania. Contact your insurance company to confirm that your insurance plan will cover your child in PENNSYLVANIA and will meet all health care need while they are attending the School. *An accident only, catastrophic sickness or travel insurance which limits coverage to Emergency Care only NOT acceptable.
Due to Federal and State regulations beyond our control, the Hill School is unable to offer health insurance options to domestic students for the 2019-2020 school year. Domestic students must obtain their own health insurance that is VALID in the State of Pennsylvania. It cannot be accident only, catastrophic sickness or travel insurance. Options to consider include enrolling them into your employer sponsored plan, using your state exchange, or obtaining out-of-state insurance acceptable to providers in the Pottstown area. Parents and guardians hold ultimate responsibility for knowing what is required by your specific insurance plan. All costs incurred for medical care that is not covered by the student’s insurance is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
All students must enroll in the School’s 10-month or 12-month student health care plan provided by United Healthcare Student Resources GTO Plan (see below). This plan is specially designed for students in Pennsylvania private boarding schools, and ensures your child will receive prompt and effective medical care in the case of illness, accident or medication needs during the school year. THERE IS NO OPTION FOR A WAIVER.
While we make every effort to assist you, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to know what is required by your specific insurance plan. Any costs incurred for medical care are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
